Forty two weeks old!

I call this her Ace Ventura Pet Detective smile... It was the best picture I could get from little miss squiggly pants :).

This was the second best shot :D!

It's been a really fun week with Xinyi, she is learning so much every day! On top of learning how to play peek-a-boo by herself, or rather learning how to be in control of the peeking and boo'ing, she has learned to play "Where is Clara?" She covers her face with a plate while we say, "Where is Clara?" and then she moves the plate and we say, "There she is!!" She loves it!

She also looooveesss lift the flap books and pop up books. She spends many minutes babbling to herself while trying to lift flaps, and sometimes lifting them too hard until they are no longer connected to the books. Hehe, oh well, life with a baby!

She's learning how to hand toys to momma when I ask for toys, and learning what the word "no" means. Both of these are still very much works in progress, but it's very fun to see her developing cognitively!

She's a curious little soul and loves crawling everywhere. She barely ever sits still and loves flapping her hands and kicking her feet. She's eating up a storm, as well! Her newest foods are bits of English muffin, and (a few weeks back) the very daunting fish and shellfish! I was very hesitant to have her try fish and shellfish because I'm very allergic, but she did so great! Now daddy and baby can go to Crackling Crab together :).

Also, mommy got a haircut! It's much easier to take care of miss grabby hands with short hair!

On Wednesday, Nai Nai came to help while mommy got a hair cut! Yay!

Then, later that week we went to a local pumpkin patch!

Family selfie!!

More life with baby -- here, Xinyi discovered a Costco sized bunch of biscotti, and decided to dump them on the floor and wave them around for fun :).

Maybe one or two weeks ago, mommy bought baby a pair of shoes. She was fine with them in Target when I put them on her feet, but as soon as we got home, she lost her little mind. Baby was adamantly against shoes. After talking to some mommies at mommy and me, we bought soft soled shoes for baby. Unicorn soft soft shoes :P.

We put them on Xinyi.

And then this happened...

Wait for it ... (look at her two adorable teeth, by the way!!)

"I am so unhappy!!!"

Let's just say, shoes are a work in progress :). Sleeping Xinyi, however, is a beautiful thing!

Here, baby is kicking her left foot so fast, you can't even see it!

Always moving!

Always on the go!

One thing is for sure, life with Xinyi is never boring :).
