Fashionista Clara / Week 43

This week (Wednesday to Wednesday) had a rough start. Clara Bear caught another preschool cold and had fevers for four days! But thankfully Audrey never caught the fever.

She did however, find daddy's coffee cup!

I left to throw away a poopy diaper and found this little one with her face in the cup!

Sweet baby is sleeping well these days, so cute!

This was taken shortly after I woke her up from the nap shown above!

Don't worry, she smiled after a few seconds. She loves her own face :).

We finally had our "Christmas" dinner a month late!

Clara took this out of the clean laundry basket and said "Look I'm Elsa!"

Oh yes, she also picked this outfit herself - head to toe. Whale pants because she loves Dory, a striped dress because she wanted to be Cinderella. The long sleeve shirt because she thinks it's a sweater. And sparkly shoes on top of socks. :D

Mommy and Audrey went to 85c and Audrey got some bread. She didn't want to let go!

And she came back from school asking to write the letter "N"! I think it's not too bad! 

Audrey learned to drink from a straw sippy cup this week! It’s her favorite thing ever and cries when it’s taken away! Her little face is so cute!

Baby Steps with Help! / Week 42

Not enough pictures this week! Lots of movie clips, but not enough pictures!

Sweet Audrey is so much fun! She's crawling much better in just this last week and loves to stack toys, put balls down ramps, and hand mommy toys.

She's a pretty great selfie buddy, too!

And we had a really fun mommy / bff play date with Miss Amy and Cami at Target! The place where moms go to let their children be happy. Or at least we did.

We also did some running in the mall!

And an impromptu lunch!

Daddy took Clara on a daddy-daughter date on Saturday and bought her this awesome book!

Audrey has started taking some baby steps with help! She's now done 3 weeks in the nursery and is a rock star! She helps mommy “put away toys” by putting her toys in baskets and buckets around her. But sometimes she just likes to take toys out and transfers them to another bucket and then back again! She likes to pat the ground to mimic mommy patting the ground. I'm trying to get her to crawl to me, but she just pats the ground and smiles at me! She also flips the pages of books the right way when mommy and Audrey are reading together! So smart! Her favorite book is the Very Hungry Caterpillar because she can stick her fingers in the tiny holes. She loves doing that. She also loves taking off her socks and just learned how to pull to standing in her crib!

In the bath, she fills her cup up with bath water and then tries to drink it! We stop her of course!

She is very wiggly and it's very hard to get her weekly picture done!

Clara's language just gets better and better! We were talking to her and asking her a bunch of questions, trying to incentivize her to do something. Shane asked her, "Do you want to go to Disneyland or the guitar store?" Clara said, "The guitar store. But daddy we already went to the guitar store today." Which was true!!! But the way she understood the concept and articulated it perfectly just floored both of us! She still loves going to school and even switched into the big kid (3 to 5 year old) class at church this past Sunday. She is a doll and lovesss her princesses right now. We just introduced her to Beauty and the Beast :).

Daddy's Birthday & "Moh" / Week 41

This week was Daddy's 33rd birthday!! But first, look at Clara's glorious facial expressions! I love them so much!

On Friday, we went to Ezra's 3rd birthday party! Clara was happy there, until she wasn't happy. It was her first kid birthday party since her own birthday party and I think it confused her!

But no fear, she has smiles for days!

And still sleeps with her body flailed about!

This week, Audrey has learned to say "moh" for more! She will say "moh" when she wants more of whatever I'm feeding her! She also says "mah mah mah mah" and calls for mama, sort of, maybe? At least I think she does! She also loves to stand and throws away offered toys if she doesn't want them. She also looves when Grammy kisses her footie and will lift her foot up for more kisses!
