Sitting Up Independently and Army Crawling / Week 34

Clara has been a cuddly little girl, wanting lots of attention and stories. It's fun to get some cuddles from her, since she is usually very active and running all over the place these days!

Some fun Clara stories: We bought her a Nutcracker book that plays snippets of the Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky. Daddy showed her the Russian dance and she has copied it and made it her own! It's hilarious!

Daddy was reading to her and spoke a little too quickly and said "lulleebye" instead of "lullabye." Clara quickly said, "No, Daddy, it's "lullabye" not "lulleebye." I wonder who she could have gotten this from! :D

Clara and mommy got to go to the Aquarium together all alone! So much fun! She loves the fishies!

Sweet Audrey is reaching for everything these days!

More art from preschool!

On Thanksgiving, we took a quick hike in our neighborhood! Audrey was on my back and liked it so much she fell asleep <3.

Sweet sisters!

Clara doesn't look thrilled here now does she?

Audrey wanted to gnaw on Clara's fingers :).

Sweet Clara let her!

And laughed about it :).

Yay both looking at the camera!

With Tai Yeh Yeh and Tai Nai Nai.

And Yeh Yeh.

What a face!!!

With Uncle Jonathan!

And Nai Nai

And everyone together! 3 generations!
Look at the differnce one year makes! Taken on Thanksgiving 2016 & 2017.

Audrey wanted to join in the fun too!

Clara and Nate play so well together!

And the Star Wars guild players :).

The day after Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas tree!

The two clear ornaments are filled with the girls' hospitals beanies and our armbands. I filled Clara's after we were home for a few weeks and did the same with Audrey's. I loved the idea of having a memento on our trees that we could tell the girls about as they grew older. And that they would be able to put the ornaments on the tree themselves as they got bigger!

We are Scar! Haha, we actually changed it to CARS, but I haven't taken a new picture.

Audrey was not a fan of these reindeer horns at second Thanksgiving... but mommy thought it was too cute!

Gemma loooves Audrey.

Some art from Clara's school!

And at second Thanksgiving, we discovered that Audrey is quite a good sitter! She can sit independently for 5-10 minutes at a time!

And Clara loves to play her guitar while Audrey sits... so now we have a little band!

Clara building a castle! Well, Nai Nai built it, but Clara played with it :). We actually drove past the Mormon Temple on our way to the Aquarium the other day and Clara pointed out, "Castle!" :D

On Saturday, we went to the beach! We haven't been as a whole family since we moved to San Diego in April of 2016!

Look at that! 1.5 years apart!
At night, the other day, I was wearing Audrey so she could face the world. Then I got cold, and Shane gave me his jacket. We cozied up!!

Look it's all lit up! The first time Clara saw the set up, she stopped walking and her jaw dropped and she said, "Whoooaa." The next day, she came out in the morning and the lights weren't on and she said, "Christmas is off!! Where did Christmas go?!" Daddy asked her if she wanted the lights back on and she said yes!

Daddy was home for a glorious 4 days and Clara got pretty used to it, so she was sad on Monday when he was gone. At night when he came home, I asked her if she wanted to help me with something in the kitchen. Clara answered, "No, I need to go read books and be with daddy!" So articulate!

Some bubble time at school!

And my sweet cute little bear!!!

Audrey loved drinking water this way. So did Clara! She wanted a sip every time Audrey wanted a sip and back and forth and back and forth :).

Someone wouldn’t look at the camera today! But she’s still our happy baby!
