Forty three was a hard week -- Xinyi got sick :(. But before she got sick, we had a lot of fun!
On Friday, we saw momma's friend Liz and had a yummy lunch with her :).
Xinyi and Sophia are becoming great friends! Or rather, baby loves cat and cat is wary of and tolerates baby. Hehe.
On Friday, we saw momma's friend Liz and had a yummy lunch with her :).
We have fallen to the dark side of letting baby play peekaboo barn during meals at restaurants. Otherwise she shrieks and squirms and is generally disruptive.... This is baby reaching for what she knows is the secret box that contains peekaboo barn. :)
Then on Saturday morning, Xinyi finally met her Auntie Natalie and Uncle Jordan! Sadly no pictures. But she was tired from the fun visit! (I know, too many sleeping pictures. But it's just too cute!)
But on Saturday afternoon, while Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh were visiting, baby started getting a fever. Here are a few pictures before the fever set in.
The fever sadly didn't relent until Monday afternoon. We were so worried. My normally independent, silly and happy baby only wanted to be held by mommy all day and all night. I think having a sick baby is one of the saddest things in the world. Fortunately, on Monday afternoon, baby started feeling better, and by Tuesday she was back to her fun, silly self!
This week, Xinyi has mastered the art of turning the page when we read books, most of the time before the page has been read. She also loves to wave hello frantically when she sees people she knows, and strangers too... and sometimes she waves to nothing in particular at all :). Mostly, she loves whining when momma walks away and throwing her food on the ground. Alas, we have finally entered that stage...
But when I see this precious girl (especially seeing the cute ways she sleeps), I can't help but smile and know she is more than worth it!
