"I love you sister." / Week 16

Mommy found some head bands and Clara got (sort of) excited about them. It took some convincing, but after one of her dolls wore a headband, Clara was all about them!

Here she is before she was convinced...

And here she is whining about not having the ipad (with which I am taking the photo). :P

This week, I got the best pictures of the girls together! Audrey is alert and holding her head up high during tummy time and Clara is really finding this fun. She loves to lay on her belly as well and hang out with her!

"Here, Audrey. Have some milk!"

I told Clara just pretend for Audrey, so she said, "Okay" and drank it herself.

Clara disappeared for a few minutes, but she'll be back!

Laying side by side <3

Holding hands!

Mommy is in the picture!

We had a nice dinner out with Yeh Yeh and Nai Nai at Ranch 99!

Audrey, of course, took a nice nap for a little while :).

So cute!

On Saturday, we went to two kiddie birthday parties. One for mommy's college friend and one for cousin Nate! All ready for the parties!

 But someone wasn't ready yet....

So we went an hour late to the first one...

And here we are at the second one!

Cheese!

They had fun together for the short time we were there!

A beautiful plumeria bloom!

Clara put this headband on and said, "Oh I look so cute, like Princess Poppy!" (a character from a movie we watch.)

On Sunday, Clara tripped and got her first double skinned knee boo boo. She was a trooper though and still was able to hold hands and run around with Cami!

Sweet Audrey!

Yesterday, Clara kept asking to see baby Audrey, so I asked her if she wanted to lay down in the crib with her. She said, "Yeah!"

This is Clara shouting, "Cheese!"

And then Clara asked to take pictures with Audrey again in the afternoon :D.

And I caught this video! The I love you was spontaneous and then I asked her to give Audrey a kiss!

Clara continued in her desire to take pictures with Audrey! Today she kept saying, "Oh Audrey, Audrey, look at me!" while mommy was taking pictures :).

So cute!

Clara is still learning to eat her cereal with milk. She loves it though! This week, she has also been such a little teacher. We have little chairs around the house and she spends a lot of time in them saying things like this:

"Hey guys! It's me, Cwara (she can't say the letter L yet). Let's read a story!"
Then she turns her book around to show the "classroom" and starts saying,
"Once upon a time...."

She also is masterful at throwing tantrums... including an epic one at Target which mommy ignored because she hadn't listened to mommy and had gotten ample warning. [She wanted to push the cart but wouldn't let mommy help so she kept almost pushing the cart into displays, people, and walls... After her third time throwing a mini fit when I corrected course, I stooped down and said, one more time and you will ride. Mommy needs to help you. And of course, she threw another fit when I helped her.] So yes, I was that mommy walking through Target with her crying toddler in the cart while wearing her baby not even batting an eye at the spectacle... Within 1 minute, Clara stopped crying on her own without any bribes and was fine. :D

She also has had trouble with band-aids and her skinned knees. She cries every time mommy cleans the wound and demands the bandaids remain on her knees. The old bandaids. We're still working on this one.

Sweet sixteen weeks! Audrey is almost too long for her 3-6 month clothes! It's too soon to move you up in clothing, baby girl :(!!! I had to get her in this outfit before she's too big. It says, "Playdate Squad!" Audrey is sleeping okay, some nights amazing, giving me 8 hour stretches, other nights giving me 2-3 all night long, with fussing every 45 minutes to an hour towards the end. She loves to "talk" and gives very rare giggles. Her smiles light up our world though! Those are constant and wonderful! Tummy time is not her favorite, but she hasn't rolled on her again since a few weeks ago. She will roll both ways though with just a gentle push or if you give her your fingers to pull on!

A Quiet Week / Week 15

After our busy weekend in LA, mommy opted for a quiet week to rest and reset the girls. Here are some pictures of Clara right after we got home from the wedding last weekend :).

Daddy caught a cute moment between Audrey and Sophia. Friends already! Sophia never let Clara get this close to her... and still barely tolerates Clara... :T.

I like to leave Audrey in the pack and play when I am in the kitchen because Clara hasn't grasped the full idea of "gentle" yet. I overhear Clara saying, "Oh Audrey, you look so cute!" And walk in to find this...

Clara picking up the heart shaped rattle and gently placing the rattle on her face, picking it up, and putting it back down... :O. At least she was gentle?

Baby Audrey is starting to "talk" a lot more! She has so much to say, and has attitude while saying it!

I had to commemorate her cute ice cream onesie!

A sweet picture with my sweet Clara in the morning!

She promptly spit up all over this onesie.... good thing she's cute no matter what she's wearing!

Over the weekend, mommy and daddy took Clara to the Aquairum! She loves it there!

And later that afternoon, the Zipkins came over! Clara actually does like this hug... but it also looks like she is being held in a head lock!

There she is hugging back!

Baby Audrey is getting so strong!

Cute baby with cute daddy!

Happy baby!

Happy Clara!

And yesterday, Grammy took Clara on an adventure! First they went to get smoothies!

And later they went back to our local kiddie pool!

She's a little fish!

15 weeks! This week was a particularly rough one for mommy, as the girls both had troublesome days. They are so used to routine that the wedding seemed to throw them off a bit. One night, Audrey partied all night long, being even more difficult than when she was a newborn! Mommy called in reinforcements the next day (aka Nai Nai and Grammy!). Clara has also been not herself, crying easily and needing more reassurance. That's okay though, part of being their mama means being there in the good and the bad with them!
