I see red bird!

Xinyi wanted to read the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear so she brought it over to me. Then she surprised me by turning the page and saying, "I see red bird!" which is the second page of the book! Turns out, she almost knows the whole thing! She kept turning pages and saying, "I see ..." and the correct animal! Here's our little cutie with a cute hoodie!

Hello world, I still love selfies!

And momy loves me!

She's looking more and more grown up every day! Here she is playing with shapes! That's her favorite thing right now and she knows most of her shapes too! Circle, square, triangle, oval, rectangle, star, heart, and even pentagon! She knows random animals too, all from her books- eagle, camel, squirrel, moose, even hippopotamous! Well, that one she has trouble saying. She's a little echo and it's wonderful!

Baby girl loves her "tu tu train"- she often wakes up asking to play with her choo choo train. She also woke up this week and said "Change diaper!" So cute!

She's also having tantrums over little things, as any almost 2 year old does. She has such a strong will and desire and it's so fun to watch her become a little person!

She brings me things all the time and says "Have it." I'm also trying to teach her manners, and it's going pretty well! She says, "Please momma" after most requests... mostly by rote memorization... but still it's cute!

Her hair is growing!!!

After 23 months, she's finally saying what a duck and doggy and pig say! Before if we asked her what does a duck say, she'd say "duck duck duck!" And now she says "kack kack!" Same for a doggy, she would say "fff fff!" And now she says "woof woof!!" For a pig, she wouldn't say anything, but now she says "oink oink oinnnkk!"

Daddy's trying to teach baby how to spell! He's teaching her letters go with the words she knows!

And mommy teaches her the art of the selfie smile!

Xinyi was watching mommy eat noodles with chopsticks and wanted to try! Well, she did try, and then decided to try something else :).

Mommy made a cute Christmas tree with play dough!

Baby girl loves to dance and smile to music!

And here we are at the Reuben H. Fleet Space Museum's free day! So many cool things for babies to do and explore!

Run run run with the shopping cart!

Baby wants to do everything by herself - even the big girl swing!

No matter how many times we said yogurt, Xinyi used to pronounce yogurt as "Yo-yo-ch" with a cute little whistle with the "ch" sound.... but last night Shane taught her how to say it correctly and mommy was both so proud and sad at the same time!!

She also knows the title of a lot of her books, and she'll say "Night Moon!" "Red Barn" "Owl Colors" ... she brings the book over and says, "Read. Night Moon! Sitting down mommy!" She loves to read!

Baby Buttercup: She looves to kick momma. She is much more active than Xinyi was at this time. She loves to kick down on mommy's bladder, and out and around and generally loves kicking. :) It's pretty fun. We try to tell Xinyi she has a baby sister coming... it's not going so well. She just points to herself and says "baby!" Oh well, we'll keep trying! :D
