It's been a fun week, mostly filled with Fourth of July festivities!
Grammy and Grampy came to visit and loved spoiling her with lots of kisses!
Xinyi couldn't stop smiling while they were around! She loved all the attention they gave her!
With a late nap, baby got to watch her first fireworks ever! She was startled by the noise of the first explosion but was mesmerized by the rest of the light show. Safe in mommy's arms, baby even started to fall asleep by the end of the fifteen minute show! Don't worry, baby's ears were covered for her protection!
The next day, we got to hang out some more at church!
Mommy then had some fun while doing baby's laundry. Shane started singing both "What do you do with a problem like Maria" followed by "Walk like an Egyptian" after mommy put a skirt on Xinyi's head :).
Otherwise, baby is now mobile! She can sort of crawl to anywhere she wants! She doesn't have the coordination between her arms and legs yet, but she's fast and she's strong! She kind of looks like a zombie crawling on the ground, she throws her hands in front of her, then drags her body, then scoots her butt in the air, and repeats. It's very cute! She loves to bang toys together and sits for a few minutes at a time by herself! She also tried broccoli, cauliflower, and yogurt this week! She knows her name and loves being sung to!
