April and May were full of lots of firsts and lots of lasts. Of course, Audrey turned one and we celebrated, and then after that we did lots of small fun day trips!

We tried unsuccessfully to introduce cow's milk. This was her first morning not nursing and being offered cow's milk. Sad face. Don't worry, we found a way and she is now happily drinking cow's milk.

Audrey went through her first car wash... I illegally snuck her into my lap so I wouldn't have a terrified screaming baby.... It worked!
We put the girls in a new double stroller configuration that lets Clara "scooter"... she loves it!

Clara went to her friend's birthday party and jumped on their giant trampoline.
Oh and she got a giant whale hat :D.

We started going to a new church in Encinitas.
We went back to Sea World again for a fun Fung family trip...

We took our last trip to the Birch Aquarium... the pass expired and we didn't renew. It's been a good two years! But now onto something new (Sea World! soon!)...

Audrey is my daredevil child. She loves to climb things.
Audrey also went through a super cling phase... in which I nicknamed her my "Nien Nien" or my 'sticky' which is a literal translation from Chinese. I put her in the Ergo backpack because she only wanted to be on me.
And that just wasn't going to work. She looks unhappy but trust me, it's better than before the pictures...
Sometimes, I get the girls to help me with laundry. The best part is that Clara is putting clothes into the dryer, and Audrey is pulling the same clothes out. :D
Audrey still likes to look out of windows... I liked her reflection in this one.
Mommy and Daddy had their first wedding without the kids! Yay!
It was in beautiful Laguna Niguel.
We even had our first night away from them since Audrey was born! Except Shane then went to DC on a redeye while I stayed with Nat (hi Nat!).

Clara started telling me weird stories and facts :D.
And made me some beautiful Mother's Day art at school.
Clara sometimes loves having Audrey to play dress up with, and sometimes they just fight. But these pictures are so cute.
We had a sweet visit with Great Grampy and Grammy where Audrey said "ball" for about the whole visit.

The girls are so much fun! Clara is a great story teller and loves to tell us stories at bedtime. She loves sharks, mermaids, whales, and princesses right now. She only wears dresses. Audrey can say lots of words now, her favorite is ball. She also says mama, dada, deda (for Clara), puppy, happy, eggy, potty, [although to be fair, the last four all sound really similar...], up, wa wa, and she has started shaking her head for no.
