Vroom Vroom / Week 8

Clara has been hilarious this week! Since watching a certain episode of Bubble Guppies, she has decided she has to play "vroom vroom" with all her cars and bicycles! She loves racing and enjoying our backyard! She has also started singing songs from anything and everything that she watches or listens to. For example, one day, she started singing the Daniel Tiger's neighborhood ending song, where it goes something about "we'll have more ideas to share... cuz its you I wike."

She also knows, "It's raining, it's pouring" and "Deep and Wide" and asks for all the songs on the new CD mommy downloaded.

We bought a pineapple and Clara looked at it and said pine pear!

I think all that learning and memorizing has tired her out, because one morning I found her like this...

She also keeps saying the phrases, "Hey ____, what you doing??" She will say it 15 or 20 times in a row... Also while watching Finding Dory, she kept shouting, "It's coming from that there!!" 

On the other hand, Audrey loves to take naps in the baby k'tan carrier, just like Clara. But she doesn't get to very often... but when she does, I often look down before she falls asleep to this sweet view!

Clara hears daddy and I say the phrase, "A smile! A smile!" when we ask Audrey from smiles, so she has started asking Audrey from smiles the same way too!

This week, they laid down in the tummy time play mat together for the cutest pictures ever! Clara did it all on her own, she wanted to be near her baby sister!

Towards the end, Audrey was less happy about it... :P

Daddy has been working on subtraction and spelling with Clara... mostly to help her eat grapes and because she found a game that requires spelling, respectively. She also ate her first vegetable in a long time! She ate some carrots because the "giant robot rabbit" on Bubble Guppies ate a big carrot!

On Sunday, we celebrated Gemma's birthday!

Audrey took a nap :).

Audrey has been sleeping up to 6 hours in her first stretch of sleep at night! It's amazing! Then she decides to sleep fitfully for the rest of the hours... I guess in baby sleep, you win some, you lose some :).

Clara has been such a funny girl! She loves to sit in Audrey's bouncer... I think she thinks it's comfortable!

And mommy's now on her third swaddle trying to get Audrey to sleep more soundly after her first 6 hour stretch. This one is the Zen Swaddle. Tonight we will try the Woombie... :P.

And mommy decided to try taking the girls out with the double stroller! What a beast of a stroller!

But Clara loved the outing!

And Audrey sort of did too :).

Happy 8 weeks, little Artery! Thanks for being so easy going! Clara loves you and so do we!

"Oh my fussy!" / Week 7

This week, Clara has come up with some awesome phrases. For example, we were driving in the car just me and the girls when Audrey started crying. Clara immediately said, 

"Oh Audrey, are you okay?"

I encouraged her to say, "It's okay, Audrey."

So she did.

Audrey kept crying so Clara said,

"Oh my fussy!"

Then, Clara found Audrey in her crib the other day and paused and said, "Oh hi, my love!"

I love how cute they are together!

And I love Clara at Gymboree!

We had a great visit with Great Grampy and Great Gram Peaches!

Clara had a blast playing with My Little Ponies!

She also showed off her newest song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in Mandarin!

Mommy decided to try out the Magic Merlin Suit on Audrey...

It's a bit big still :).

Passed out baby! Audrey has been so good this week! Somehow she is learning to fall asleep independently at the tender age of 6.5 weeks old! Mommy swaddles her, puts in a paci, turns on the sound machine, and rocks her for maybe 1or 2 minutes. Then she is put down and usually puts herself to sleep for naps!! Nights are hit and miss as far as falling asleep independently, but then she'll sleep usually 3-5 hours in each stretch! Yay!

And mommy had a mommy date with her friends and her friends' kids! Cami, Clara, and Ezra! 

Clara was a fan of Ezra. 

Ezra was not so sure.

But Cami decided to break out some of her mommy's lotion and put it all over herself!

Yay for mommy dates!

Yay for seven weeks with this little one!
