Eight months old!

Xinyi is eight months old!

She still has no teeth, very little hair, and crawls primarily on her belly. She's crawled on her hands and knees a few times, but quickly decided that was too slow for her... She's got places to go, things to put in her mouth! She's also very mischievous, despite the innocent face she made for the camera below :).

Daddy taught baby to stick out her tongue this week, leading to many silly faces. But I couldn't capture them on camera, so here's her "give me the camera please" face :).

Finally, here's baby lounging. She put herself there! Too funny!

Happy eight months baby, you are just too cute!

Thirty four weeks old!

Another week has flown by and Xinyi is bigger and more babblier than ever!

First, I must marvel at the cuteness of this sleeping baby!!

We took Xinyi to the park to have her try the baby swing on her own! She loved it!!

She also loved the big kid swing with mommy :).

Grammy and Grampy came to visit and we put baby sunglasses on baby!

A big big thank you to Grampy and daddy for doing a ton of things around the house, including a new play corner for Xinyi! She loves it!!

Xinyi became adept at pulling to a standing position this week! She also took a few tumbles, but that's okay, it's all in the process of learning! We love that she is so brave and adventurous, getting up to try again each time she falls!

Auntie K came to visit and baby loved her! Baby also loved watching daddy play with Sophia. That's what this picture is of, pure joy watching a kitty play with a string!

Yay for visits from friends!!

Baby's babbling has reached fun new heights, including a silently mouthed "bababa" and vocalized "yayaya" a few "ma" and "ah" sounds. Too much fun! She also still loves to shriek with joy... It's both cute and very painful for ours ears :).

Thirty three weeks old!

Thirty three weeks old! How can it be? 

Xinyi is very excited about her owl :). It's been a momentous week, full of firsts! Baby pulled herself to her knees for the first time in her crib, followed the next day by pulling herself to her feet in her crib! Then she started pulling herself up everywhere!! Baby also started babbling almost like a normal baby with lots of "bababababa" followed by very loud "aaahhhhhhh" sounds. She's started to do more of her double eye closed smiles with the ducky lips too! There is just no end to the hilarity of living with her!

Daddy and mommy love crawling with Xinyi. She finds it entertaining that we do so!

Thirty two weeks old!

Thirty two weeks old and what a fun week we had!

There are a ton of pictures this week!! Courtesy of our trip to San Diego :).

First though, baby just loves her book of babies from Uncle Levi and Auntie Erin!

We also had a fun trip to target with Nai Nai :).

Xinyi's first baseball glove...

Oh no! It's covering her face!

We made it down to San Diego and baby swam for the second time ever. She loved it!! Also, we had a swim suit for her, but last month it was already really tight on her, so instead we used swim bottoms from Grammy, but we didn't have a swim top! So that's why she doesn't have a top :T. 

Uncle Ben and cousin Nathan joined us too :).

Tai Yeh Yeh and Tai Nai Nai couldn't get enough of Xinyi :). They loved watching her play and eat and smile and coo. What a bright girl, they kept saying!

Nathan decided to join us on the piano and we had a fun time playing all together!

The next day we took baby to her first baseball game with Grammy, Grampy, Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Dru! Of course Gemma and Archie were there too!

Xinyi wants to pat Archie's face,

But Xinyi settled for telling Archie her secret plan to take over the world.

Archie responds by patting baby on the head... Then (not pictured) he reached down and kissed her on the head!

Gemma couldn't get enough of Xinyi! At one point, we asked Gemma what Xinyi's name was, and she said, "baby." So we asked, what's baby's real name? Gemma said, "Clara"... Then Archie showed up and we asked her what baby brother's name was, and Gemma said, "baby." Then we asked what baby brothers real name was, and Gemma said very happily, "Baby!!" Too cute!

Hello camera! My name is Xinyi and I still have no teeth, but I do crawl like a champ and I learned to drink from a sippy cup this week!

Xinyi also got to meet baby Athena, Auntie Eupheme and Uncle Gavin's baby girl! Sadly no pictures, but it's crazy how big Xinyi is compared to Athena! Finally, Auntie Catherine came to visit and was so great with baby! 

Such an amazing week!! Thanks to our families and friends for always making our trips so so worthwhile!
