Thirteen weeks old!

I was a little photo happy this week, so there are a lot!  Xinyi has been a lot of fun this week, and has had a lot of fun too!

Xinyi was so good during dinner!  It must have been the memories for her :).  Here we are having dinner at Ding Tai Fung, the last place we went before Xinyi was born!

Three months!

Xinyi is three months old today!  She gave me the best smiles and faces during her 15 second photo shoot!  Usually it takes me several minutes to get one good one, but today she was all smiles and silly faces!!  Enjoy!!!  I especially love the last one :).

Twelve weeks old!

Little Xinyi is not so little anymore!  She is twelve weeks old today!  She has been a good girl this week :). Thank you to Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh who came to babysit so we could go to a wedding and help us work out some sleep issues.  And thank you to aunt Lindsey for more sleep advice!  This week Xinyi went another 7 hours of straight blissful sleep!  It's the first time since February 28th and only the second time ever, but we will take it!

Now that she's moved up to 3-6 month clothing, she has lots of outfits!  Here is a favorite!

Mommy put a rattle in Xinyi's hands and she shook it all on her own yesterday!  She still doesn't reach out and grasp on her own, but she's trying really hard!

It's been a fun week.  Xinyi has many moments of this,

But now there are more and more moments of this :).

Aaand, she has taken three naps by herself in the last two days, not in mommys arms!!!  She has also gone from being drowsy but awake to asleep with the help of the mommaroo and her paci!  Thanks again to Grammie for the mommaroo and Yeh Yeh for the advice on which pacifier to use!

Eleven weeks old!

Xinyi is eleven weeks old!  It's been an exciting week of firsts :).  First, she graduated out of her bassinet to her crib on March 12th.  Then mommy finally moved her up to 3-6 month clothing on Monday because she was getting too long.  So sad but so glad!  And today, Xinyi laughed for the first time with a giggle sound!!  She's been laughing with smiles only for a while, but today she laughed and giggled!  I took the picture below shortly after.  She looks proud of herself :).

Xinyi's been struggling with naps, she has decided all naps must be on mommy.  Like so.  I'm trying to break the habit but then she turns into an overtired mess.

With these firsts have been many nights of struggles and crying as Xinyi is trying to figure out this big world.  Shane reminds me that it's good, she needs to grow and change, it's what babies do!  She's growing and changing so quickly.  So we try to treasure every moment.  We love our little moon face!

Ten weeks old

Xinyi is ten weeks old and has so much to say!  She likes to babble back when we talk to her and lifts her little head way up high during tummy time, but she doesn't like to use her arms!  We're working in that :).  She's struggling a bit with nighttime sleep, but once she's down for the night she's sleeping great!  Here's our smiling girl!

Nine weeks and full of fun!

Xinyi had a very full week last week!  We took our first family trip to San Diego so Xinyi could meet four of her great grandparents!  We also were able to celebrate a belated Chinese New Year!  Here she is, our nine week old!

Also two Friday's ago, we finally took Xinyi to her first bible study!  She was great and slept almost the whole time :).

But here is a picture with Tai Yeh Yeh and Tai Nai Nai.  They couldn't stop telling us how pretty their great granddaughter is!  They were so excited to finally hold her!

Now with all this commotion and travel, our poor girl has struggled to adjust.  She went from giving us that glorious 8 hour stretch to refusing to sleep the last two nights.  She returned to growth spurt like sleep patterns, taking forever to settle down to sleep and waking every hour to two hours.  Maybe she will be better tonight after two days of recovering from everything, but we are tired parents!  So we took a little trip to find Merlin's magic sleep suit.  Now she's a little young and small for the suit, but look how cute she is!

She'll grow into it and hopefully she will start sleeping better again soon!  But for now, we cherish her smiles and coos and take it one day at a time. :)
