Twenty four weeks old!

Xinyi is twenty four weeks old!  But sadly, I don't have as many pictures as last week!  

Highlights of the week include: 

- baby girl learning how to roll all the way over, from back to belly and belly to back, in a full circle!

- baby girl learning how to sit by herself, unsupported!  Only for a few seconds at a time, but she's getting pretty good!

- baby girl tried apple and peaches, she likes apples more than peaches, but still loves bananas the best!

She loves playing peek-a-boo with mommy!

And to help her learn to sit, she spends a lot of time in her new chair... :)

Sorry mommy, I'm too busy to smile, I have some chewing to do!

Sophia likes to hang out with her too!

We will be heading to San Diego again this week for my best friend's baby shower along with Father's Day :).  You know what that means, moore pictures!  But you'll have to wait until then!  

Twenty three weeks old!

Twenty three weeks old!  She is growing up way too fast!  She finally remembered how to roll from belly to back, and she is so so proud of herself!  We're proud of her too!  Every time she does it, we praise her so much that she does it just for the praise!  Silly girl :).  She also has taken to sleep training very well, and daddy has been the sleep training champion.  Mommy is very grateful for daddy :).

Daddy continues to indoctrinate Xinyi with good sports sense, this time for the UCLA Bruins!

Mommy and baby took a trip to Target and baby got to face outwards, which she loved very much.  Shane also says that Xinyi looks like Mr. Clean in this picture.

Xinyi is learning still how to sit...

And she loves her toys so much she can't always stay sitting!

She also had a glorious mustache of sweet potato.  Which is only one of the few foods she's tried!  The full list includes: banana, sweet potato, carrot, blueberry, green beans and spinach.  Still to come: zucchini, broccoli and cauliflower, and some more fruits!

Twenty two weeks old!

Happy Xinyi!

It's been an eventful week in the life of Xinyi :).  Her parents celebrated four years of being married, as well as Nai Nai's birthday, cousin Gemma's birthday, and another trip to San Diego!  We started sleep training, dun dun dun, and it's gone pretty well so far!  Let's hope it continues to go well :).  And, thanks to all the events, we have tons of pictures!

So part of our drives always look like this...

But most of the time they look like this :(.  She's asleep in the last one.  And I was in the front seat taking selfies as my only way of seeing her since the car mirror was not positioned in such a way that I could see her.  So I don't feel as bad about the pictures since I couldn't do anything to help her from the front seat.

She has quite the glorious pouty face, doesn't she.

While daddy and I enjoyed listening to Tradewinds, Grampy's band, Nai Nai and Tai Yeh Yeh and Tai Nai Nai enjoyed playing with Xinyi :).

And feeding her carrots too!

The next morning, Grammy watched Xinyi while mommy slept a little longer.

She's so happy!

Then we went to breakfast to celebrate Gemma's birthday!

Then Grampy and daddy had a jam session.

And Gemma held baby Clara!  She was very insistent about holding her and was very gentle with her :).

Later that afternoon was Gemma's birthday party, and Grammy and Grampy couldn't resist smooshing baby's face!

Then later that same day, mommy and baby played some piano.

I love that last picture!  So sweet!

And we finally moved her up to 6-9 month clothes!  Yay keep growing, little girl!

Five months old!

We are back from a weekend of fun!  Lots of pictures to come on Wednesday.  But for now, Shane called this outfit Sunshine.

Twenty one weeks old!

Little Xinyi is not so little anymore!  She's in diaper size 2 now (and we probably should have switched her sooner!) and her 3-6 month clothes are getting snug!  She loves to play peekaboo and chats to us and her toys.  She gives us the biggest smiles and we love her so!

Last week, mommy and baby went to Descanso Gardens for a walk.  It was very pretty!

We saw a mommy duck and her ducklings!

We also started to transition baby out of her swaddled for naps since she is too good at rolling.  Here she is looking like a mermaid in a zippy from Julie.  Thanks Julie!!

Shane's newest thing with Xinyi is singing and miming "I'm a little teapot" with her.  These are stills from a video, but you can see her giant smiles!
