Sit! Sit! and other fun things!

Lots of pictures this week! I guess I was camera-happy!

We started the week off at Gymboree, where Xinyi had a blast crawling and climbing and exploring!

She loves to jump (but not really jump!)

We took some selfies. You can't tell from the angle, but she was resting her face completing on mine!

Double ipad time = being spoiled by Yeh Yeh.

More selfies!

And a sweet Xinyi face!

I found a hat for baby!

Cuddle time with da-da!

Reading to herself during breakfast :D.

A blow kiss for daddy!

Chaos at story time :).

And more Gymboree - we used a free bonus class for a music Gymboree!

She ended up dancing with another little girl!

Little Alfalfa hair :).

Trampoline fun at Grammy's house!

At Great Grandpa Chuck's house, Xinyi decided to lay down on the stairs! So silly!

And lastly, baby girl seems to have goten over her fear of stickers! Xinyi willingly put all these stickers on herself, by herself!!

Baby girl seems to be learning so much! Two of the cutest things happened this week.

First, Violet the dog (a toy) asked baby to give her a hug and she immediately picked her up and gave her the sweetest hug!

Second, Xinyi pats the ground next to her, or a chair, and says "Sit! Sit!" when she wants you to sit next to her.

So adorable!! We love you baby!

Xie xie!

Xinyi and I are still loving Gymboree! It's fun to watch her explore and observe and laugh and crawl and play!

Since daddy's working a few weeks ago, time with him has been sweet and precious ;).

Our baby girl is really turning into a big girl!

But there's always room for selfies!

Peek a boo is baby's favorite game!

And she's so attached to her lovey, which has been very helpful during these last few weeks with her molars coming in.

Oh, and I almost forgot! She's learned how to say thank you in mandarin - xie xie! She's quite good at it too!! :)

We love your sweet silly smiles, baby girl!

Downward dog!

Downward dog! Xinyi's newest skill!

She also conquered her fear and crawled through the tunnel at Gymboree!

Hugs from daddy are the best!

So are slides!

Baby girl's hair is finally long enough for a bow!

And a tiny ponytail!

More filters :)

New animal sounds:
What does an owl say? Hoo hoo!
What does a lion say? Rawr!

And finally, Xinyi is also now understanding simple requests. Can you bring me that book? Want to sit in my lap to read? Put that down please. Sit on your bottom. Time to turn off the music :D.

Love you baby!

Gymboree!!

This week we started Gymboree classes!

Baby girl loved it!

Look at that happy face!

We also had a play date with cousin Nathan. They squeezed into the small playhouse!

Then at dinner, Xinyi decided to cuddle with Yeh Yeh's hand. It was too cute!!

A few days later, we went to a library story time and afterwards, baby picked this book from a shelf all on her own!!

On Friday, we went to Birch Aquarium with Eupheme and Athena. But I only got this selfie :D.

Breakfast with Grammy and Grampy!

And for fun, I dug up some old photos to see side by side comparisons! My mom and me (left) and Xinyi and me (right).

Me on the left and Xinyi on the right.

While Shane and I went on a day trip for our anniversary, Xinyi had some time with Tai Yeh Yeh and Tai Nai Nai!

And as far learning, Xinyi has reached a super inquisitive stage - pointing at everything so I'll tell her what it is. Colors, shapes, animals, food, everything!

She knows her head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, fingers, belly, knees, and toes.

When she sees a picture of a clock she stays making a clicking/ticking sound like a clock from the song "hickory dickory dock."

When she sees a picture of a dinosaur, she moves her arms back and forth like she's marching in the song "we are the dinosaurs marching!"

She thinks all fruit is called either a "nana" or an "ah ah" - her words for banana and apple. So an orange and pears are also always nana or ah ah.

She loves looking out windows and shouting "duck!!!" Because it's what we do with her. She also thinks all birds are ducks.

She understands when I ask if she needs a diaper change or it's time to take a nap or time to go or come with me.

Last but not least, Gemma's birthday!!

And of course another selfie :).
